Default Scam on Shocks?

Is anyone familiar with a 13.5" stock Dyna shock (not the adjustable T-Sport's) There's someone selling a pair that says they're special order OEM Super Glide Showa shocks from the HD factory, usually $350, selling for $100.I don't feel like I've ever seen this option or heard of HD pushing this idea at all...

Is this even a real part, or some weird Sportster shock or something? It literally looks like the stock shock column and bottom adjuster, just longer. I want to post a link but don't want to give up my source....it looks like he's sold a bunch of pairs and has 100% feedback.

I want to upgrade the rear ( i know it's not REALLY an upgrade in quality, but I'd like a higher stance and can't drop $800 for something nicer for a while...)

But they're advertising as 13.5", stock is 12.6? I mean if I get them and they're the same length, he's kind of f-ked anyway right for incorrectly describing the item right?

It's so hard to eyeball a 1" difference in a photo...

I think I'm going for it...$100 for a brand new set of shocks, mine have 28,000 miles on em anyway so it could only be better...if not, back on e-bay they go.

Hmm...the tape measure isn't in the center of the eye or the shock cup.....eye to eye looks closer to 15, but if i hold my fingers up to the screen and measure cup to cup then move down to his tape measure, it looks about 12.

An excerpt from email correspondance:

"You'd be surprised at the orders I get for these after buyers receive them. If your friends decide they want a set after you get yours just let me know. It will take 2 weeks to get them in from York, Pa. The sales rep. works directly out of the Harley plant in York, Pa. I can only get 4 sets at a time."

So supposedly he knows someone on the inside that's making shocks on the side. Why would Harley not sell these?

Oh well, I think I'm taking the plunge because my curiosity is peaked. We'll see what I end up with- if they're legit, maybe this is a budget alternative for jacking up the rear end a little without spending a fortune on shocks.

I used a piece of paper to hold it to the screen and marked it at the center of the eyes. Moved it down to the ruler and to me it seems to be 14 1/2 inch.....
