After alot of research and talking to fuel moto I deceiced on the micro tuner and the fuel moto a/c instead of the pc5 for my 2011 wide glide . The reason I went with the micro is because I have no plans on doing cams,I hope I dont change my mind on that.
It should be here friday.Any tips on the install?
I'd like to hear from anyone using this as well. I see it as a good alternative to a more expensive tuner with just an intake upgrade and slip-on mufflers as the only mods.
i run the micro on my 13 sb with v&h straight shots and FM stage 1 a/c. the micro is easy to install and the base map that FM put on there was almost spot on. i had a tiny bit of decel pop, but one quick call to the guys and they walked me through adjusting the tables in the software. i think for the price you just can't beat what you get from the micro, and i've used other tuners on other bikes i've had and the micro easily outperforms them. I will say that when i bought the micro, i swore i wouldn't do cams or any other engine work. a few months later, and hanging out on this forum and i have plans for upgrades this winter. FM does have the upgrade promo going on for the PV though, so i will most likely upgrade to that this winter with the other work. for stage one, i feel it's tough to go wrong with the micro.
i didn't, i simply unbolted the back and lifted to access the injectors. it would make it that much easier to get to them, as i have larger hands and it's a little tight in there. i still got it done without removing the tank, it just took me a few more minutes to get my hands in there just right. i was just too lazy to take the tank all the way off, but in hindsight i could have probably been done quicker by taking it off. lol.
