Default "Ticking" sound after 1k service and full Dyno tune

I recently had my 2012 FXDWG serviced and Dyno tuned after I installed Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2 exhaust and a heavy breather.

ever since the service, I noticed a ticking sound coming from the engine. The exhaust bolts were a little loose so I tightened them up but it still ticks.

Is it possible to have blown the exhaust seals during the dyno? Or could it be something else?

Bike has 1300 miles on it and I run full synthetic fluid. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Cory

Sometimes a change in fluid can make the valve train noisier.
Mine got louder when I went to full synthetic Lucas Oil, but is a bit quieter with Mobil 1 V-Twin.
I doubt it is a gasket. I wouldn't worry, as long as it's filled to the proper level (heard many horror stories about dealer services..)

BTW, GREAT looking WG!

My stage 1(V&H Big Radius 2:2, RSD Turbine intake) 103 does the same. The ticking gets faster with higher rpm's I always assumed it was valve noise and normal.

Im having the same problem..... Ive found that the nuts at the jugs are continuously coming loose. I torque it to 120 in. lb. and about 1-200 miles later they are loose and the ticking is back. Im at 1800 miles and have had this problem since my dyno. I also get a little bit of decel and backfire. I think I need to try new gaskets and re-install.

It may very well be the Synthetic oil in your bike causing the noise.......I used Synthetic oil about 4 yrs ago and my top end was very noisy. I went back to Dino oil and the bike is quiet ........57k miles zero problems.

Cool, thanks for the comments and compliments guys!

Ill just have to try new seals to see if that helps. I had them put in Harley Synthetic since I wasn't sure what else was out there.

Any suggestions on other brands of fluids?? I heard that redline is good

I ran dino oil until 5K then went with syn3 for one change. I started running mobile1 because its easily available. Lots of posts on here about people hearing more upper engine noise when started running synthetic. Some days mine makes more noise than others. I just did a 200 mile run to Crater lake with temps in the 70's and bike sounded great. Ran around locally the other day in the mid 80's and tic tic tic
