Dang Pain, I can hardly keep up...just when I thought you finally solved your seat quest, you traded horses! Ha! Congrats on the new ride. Lots to like on the switchback. FB is an odd duck. Does some things perfectly, others take fiddling. I'm still sorting mine out after almost 4 years, but feel like I'll get it there someday. Happy motoring.

I know Thing, but this story is pretty much over the Switchback is the bike I wanted the Fat Bob to be. I have a few cosmetic items I'm switching over from the FB, I'll get my wife a set of mini-floor boards for the rear and that's end of story.
Okay, except one minor item... If the stock seat is comfortable for the long rides, I might save myself $400 and send the Mustang wide Vintage back.
So what is the verdict on the Switchback's stock seat? How is it on long rides? To me, it feels almost like a true touring seat in the short time I've spent in it, plus it has a generous passenger pad.

Others have said differently,
but the FLD's stock seat is hands down the best stock seat I've ever had.
Give it time.
The farthest I've rode her FLD was about 100 miles but the seat is 10x more comfy than my stock street bob seat. It gives you a decent amount of lower back support. If you're able to get a refund on the Mustang you might consider it while you can. That way you can try out the stocker for a while to see if it's up to your standards. Just my take on things. Good luck!
Poor Dennis Kirk.....I got the Mustang seat from them, so I can ship it back on their return label and I have 90 days to decide.
I'll try out both....but It might be ultimate comfort(at this level of bike) to have the Mustang Wide Vintage on the Switchback....
Congrats on your bike choice. I've just agreed a deal on a 2013 Switchback aswell (due 3 weeks time). I like what the Switchback offers in terms of versatility, styling and comfort which will suit my riding style better. I found the stock seat very comfortable on my test ride. Good luck and enjoy.

Congrats and same to you, but I've learned with seats..make no assumptions too early.
I've only had 15mins in the SB stock saddle, it did feel good but I need a real ride before I form any other opinion.
I put a Switchback seat on my 07' Wideglide and love it. Its not as padded as my Sundowner was but I like the narrowness at the front of the seat and am very comfortable on it.
