09 and need a paint job already.
This season has brought out the worst in HD paint jobs.
Going to try and do a quick fix and just pull the fender off and remove the tail light and clean it good and just paint it and try to blend it.

tried to get a paint job warrentied but no dice. HD does not back the denim black paint jobs. I have weird spider swirls all over my tank. A friend of mine just had to repaint his 2010 WG . I guess it depends on the bike. Usually HD paint jobs are pretty good (except for the denim regarding durability).

 

I haven't heard of blistering but HD paint is always super soft and shows swirl marks really easily.

 

Denim paints regardless of vendor are not as durable as gloss paints and this comes from one of the leading paint companies. Virtually every car company that offers a Denim or flat paint has their customers sign off a disclosure.
They have a shorter lifespan, period. They require special care and most of us do it incorrectly and most dealers either are incorrectly trained or incorrectly instruct customers how to maintain this paint.
