Anyone got any? Anyone regret it? Good? Bad?
Looking at picking up one later this week, but I wanna make sure I dont regret it...the only reviews I've found are the ones on the K&N website and theres 3 that said the filter could do no evil. I like K&N for my autos, so I ASSUME it'd be no different for the bike, but I dont know...I'm still skeptical.
Just wondering what everyones experience is with them.

We won't Use K & N Filters on are four wheelers. Even with maintaining the K&N air filter We have had a lot of Fine dirt in the Boot between the air cleanerAnd carburetor

Mine seems to work fine. I do not use the KN oil on mine though. I clean it with cheap carb cleaner and reinstall. Does not make sense to oil when crankcase is breathing through it and oiling. Is that dumb?

The filter element needs the oil completely covering the surface to collect the fine dust. Without the oil, you might as well use a hair net.

dezaxtly, w/o oil on it, it ain't nfg.I'm pretty happy with mine, definitely breathes better. Maintenance isn't that bad compared to the cost of replacements. Hard to say no dust getting through but I inspect the throttle body and intake manifold with a flashlight every time I clean the filter and there's nothing that I can see sticking to the insides. You'd expect some residue to build up if there was a consistent flow of dust particles getting through.

You can use spray cooking oil in a pinch! The real trick with these filters is to keep it oiled with something, but not heavy as to suck it into the fuel system!

If you don't like the oil HD has a filter that is washable and reusable but no oil. My tech said to get rid of it and use the K&N. When my tech gives advice I listen.
