picked up the new daymaker today. right off the bat i noticed the beam is more spread out. its wider/longer if that makes any sense. and the high beams have been greatly improved over the original daymaker. you can actually see that theres a highbeam on now where before you could hardly tell. didnt get to road test it yet but that should be easy tomorrow morning since its dark enough on my way to work. but so far, very pleased with it.
I so want one of these, I almost hit a cow the other night. The cow was black and the night was dark as could be. A car coming fromt eh other direction is the only reason I even knew the cow was there. I so need more light, I ride tons in the dark.
well i must say it is an improvement over the original. the beam is definitely wider. spread across 4 lanes on the freeway from the slow lane. it covers alot more area now. still not sure if its worth spending $400, but the fact i got mine for $200 is worth it.

Got any pics? I had the old version and didn't care for it. Went with HID afterwards. How did you score yours for $200? Might have to get one if its much better..
Yeah, pics of the new light pattern would be cool. I also have the old version and IMHO the beam pattern is less than desirable, especially if you ride any twisties in the dark. I have taken it off and went back to another light. Anyone interested, I'd be willing to part with it.
ill try and remember to snap some pics before i leave for work in the morning.

i had $150 in harley reward points, plus my local dealer has their own discount system where when you fill a 10 slot card you get a $50 discount. those 2 together gave me $200 off.
I'd like to have the new version. Not going to spend a lot to upgrade though. The original works well for me.
On a different Dsymaker subject. I'm picking up a warranty bucket today because the isolator plate in the original bucket cracked. I had the LED installed at delivery and they failed to install the rubber spacer between the bucket and post. The LED assembly is heavy without the spacer.
