The advice they gave is not even rational.

As long as you are positive the plys have not been compromised I would glue in some rubber and call it a day.

However for me I am a chickenshit and I would replace it.

It really depends....if there is no chance of repercussions, I usually leave it in...it rides better; but you have to be sure. Any chance of long-lasting side effects--you have to pull it out!

Patch it from the inside. What exactly are you going to patch? It didn't go through. Are you going to guess the location to put the patch?

I've run thousands of miles on plugged tires and never gave it a second thought.
15 hours or more straight through and a plugged tire never enters my mind.
This was my thought as well. There's nothing to patch.

There's nothing to patch or plug. Those who believe in wasting money replacing a tire that's not leaking power to you, I'll spend my money on other things.

Should have left in in there and added more screws, you never know when you may hit some black ice lol

Lol. I think most of the patch/plug advice came before he pulled the screw and updated the condition(as mine was). And the ones afterwards may not have read the entire thread and seen his update.

Tire is good, if it leaks after you pull the screw, put a tube in the tire, its $30 vs $200-$300 plus labor..

Lmao! If it leaks, plug or replace. If not do whatever....Brain science and rocket surgery! I mean really, it's a screw in a tire.
