Default Leave it in or pull it out?

FB front tire, 4600 miles on it. See pic.

As you can see, it's a small screw, on the top of the tread. Tested for air leaks, there are none. I know by default, most of you will probably say "just replace it" but I just want to know what would be the safest FOR NOW...leave it in or remove it - since it's a screw, I could easily back it out.

This is not at all what I thought this thread was about....lol

I would leave it in until you have a plug kit available to plug it if it leaks..long enough to get a new tire installed

Figured it would get peoples attention.

I have one but I was always taught not to plug motorcycle tires. Plus, since it isn't leaking at all, it's probably only in the rubber of the tread and hasn't gotten through all the way.

I would not ride a bike with a plugged tire. Only to get it home and put a new tire on.

But if I'm on the road away from home. I would rather remove the screw under controlled conditions and put a plug in it than have it come out and lose air pressure going down the interstate. I still have minimal use of my left arm from crash a month ago. I would hate to crash again. lol

Do you have a rubber x ray machine, if not, change the tire, not worth the let down if you're out somewhere. I once plugged one about 1 mile from home with a golf tee, ruined the tee by the time I got home, but I did get there, lol.
