Looking to upgrade motor...help!!
Im looking to upgrade my 12 fxdc...i curretly have a power vision...rinehart drag pipes...and a mach 2 air cleaner....i want to boost my hp and tq significantly without breaking the bank too bad....do i build on top or do i swap motors?? Im looking for reliability with this upgrade and willing to spend up to 4 grand...can someone point me in the right direction based on experience please...

Are you going to do the work yourself? When you say bottom are you referring to cams or crankwork or both? Just need to know some more info, but for 4 grand you can certainly get a lot of hp/tq.

Im not doing the work myself... So. Have to alot some of this budget toward labor but i want to do both cams and crank...a big part of my decision is based upon reliability as well...any input would be appreciated..thanks

Crankwork, cams(adj pushrods, lifters) and a 107 Big Bore for sure, not sure if you will have enough after that to do headwork and throttle body - maybe a "Street Port" and get your tb worked over by somebody like Dan Vance. With the crankwork you could bore out the spigot for a bigger bore kit but I think the money will start running out before you could fully exploit that.
