Default 2013 fxdb chain conversion

I'm getting a bunch of work done on my bike, mag wheels, rear shocks, dual front brakes and since we are taking the wheels off i'm doing a chain conversion.

It's a 2013 fxdb, 103 motor, fuel moto stage 1, thunderheaders.

For those of you that have done this already, which sprocket sizes are good, front and rear.
I'm not wanting to go to a 60 or 65 tooth bungking sprocket, but what front/rear combination worked best for you?

Lemme know what ya think

call zippers they have a decent price conversion and will give you the size of sprockets you need to have the stock equivalent, or if you want to go lower gearing which i assume you do they can do that also

The only front options are 24, 25 and 26. I'm running a 25 front because that's the smallest that was offered in the offset I needed. I didn't want to go with a huge rear either so I got an evo industries 49t clutch basket and a 55t rear sprocket for 3.17:1 final. They make a 24 front in other offsets, with a 56 rear that would be 3.15:1 which is a sweet setup. Same as 30/70 if it were belt. Looks like you can get 24/55 in the zippers kit.

50% looks, it'll be a black chain, 50% performance/torque, more usable 6th gear and modern chains are pretty low maintenance but cheaper to replace in the future. i'm just not digging the look of the belt on my dyna, on my street glide i couldn't care less

thanks guys

Big Als Cycle sells ready made kits with plenty of gearing options. As far as gearing that is best, well thats really all your preference and I cant help with that.

Most do it for strength, gearing selection and ease of replacement. I wanted to go chain for these reasons and couldn't fit a belt with my wider wheel even if I wanted to. With a chain you have pretty much endless, inexpensive options for rear sprocket sizes and you can easily change the length of the chain. When it's time to replace you can easily change the chain out in a matter of minutes rather than removing the inner primary like with a belt.

I "think" that I want to see some pics! This sounds badass.

Sorry, can't add anything to the chain discussion.

Coming from a sportbike, I hated chain maintenance.
Small grease spots on the bike due to excess grease flying off, checking the tension, adjusting.
Just not my thing.
