Wide Glide vs Sporty
Rode it home this afternoon. So much better that the sporty. Sorry, but no noticeable handling problems, straight and true. I was cruising and not paying attention and when I looked at the speedo, I was running 75, sweet frickin deal!! I liked the sporty but the WG is a total different ride.
BTW, I'm from Broken Arrow but haven't lived there for a while.

Thank-you...Thank-You very much. Sorry savaship but this WD seems to handle great. Maybe before selling you should check with the dealer. Something may/must be wrong. My new scoot rides and handles great.
The ride of the glide
Congratulations. Here is pic of my 01 to give you some ideas. I did my cam chain at 40k. I went with the SE hydraulic kit and installed S&S 510 cams at the same time. The cams make a huge difference. If I had to do it over I would have gone 2x1 Thunderheader instead of V&H exhaust, but oh well. Another hugh upgrade was my progressive rear shocks and Riccor Intimator fork dampner. There is a thread on that which I really liked.Half the fun is making it your style. Have fun!!!

No need to apologize brother, I am happy you like it! This area I live in, I think it just amplifies the WG's slight shortcomings, and I'm not saying there's many... just windey twisty dirt roads, and then more windey twisty paved roads through lake country... this is just not where the WG shines... If I lived anywhere else, I bet it would have been an awesome ride! Congrats!

let me chime in on this one. I have an 09 1200C Sporty and a 03 100th Anniversary Wide Glide (See pics below). They both have the 21 inch Front tire and no tracking issues as stated by some. I can tell you it is like night and day between the two bikes and the Dyna wins.
