I know it's late, but loading these pics were impossible, they kept saying "file too large" no matter how small I made them. And then the dang computer conked out. But ever persevere!!!
hey madcitybob, i think installed my just like you did,is the other stock connector to the fuelpack in the lower left corner stuffed behind the ecm and the clear peice under the seat? I just help a buddy install a fuelpak on a 05 lowrider and we stuffed his under his seat but there is alot more room the mine. there is no way i couldve stuff both connectors and the clear peice in there like he did.
I just installed my FuelPak in my '07 Street Bob last weekend. It was a REALLY tight fit...the only way I could get it to fit was to loosen the 2 bolts holding the battery compartment, giving a little more room to allow you to bolt up the ECM housing on the left side. That was a tight fit also...I got the bolt towards the front end snugged up, then had to shove the back end of the housing into place meanwhile aligning the rear bolt. Talk about 10 lbs of $hit in a 5 lb can!!!
I spent 2 hours this weekend fitting mine. Unbelievably tight. Once I removed the batter tray it was much easier to fit. I'm still not comfortable with the tight fit but there is no choice. Hopefully vibration does not cause any cable/connector wear.
Mine's as tight as a catholic virgin too. It did mount UNDER the stock ECU though. Just took some doing to get it in there. I ran a USB cable up to the seat for programming. I took the battery box AND the fuseblock side apart to fit it.
