According to his web-site, the 2 inch spacers would no longer work on 2011 and newer without changing at least the clutch cable. 2 inches only work 2008 - 2010 models.
My local dealer told me that I can go up to 2 inches without changing any lines or cable. They also said that 2010 and 2013 have a clutch cable length.
I have a 2013 street bob with the fatory installed drag bars which is just the fat bob bars and risers... I went with the 1" spacer after reading the spacer jim website, and I dunno if I have the same cables as a fat bob, but you would be hard pressed to get a 2 inch spacer to fit. I might have enough room to go up another half inch, but I don't see a 2 inch working.
Not a Fat Bob, but I have the 2" on my 2012 Wide Glide. The cables had another inch left but the wires are as far as they can go. Highly recommend while your there replace your rubber bushings with polyurethane ones.
From the looks of it you could probably get *close* to 2", but he seems to be right, not a whole lot of room left on the stock wires and cables. I am about to order the 1" as well.
Your the second person to say that so I'm starting to believe it's true. I had 2" spacers on my fatbob. I no longer use them but apparently they won't fit for the very reason you said. If you find out they do I will then gladly sell you mine .....cheap.
Just got Jim's 2" spacers today. Already installed them and took the bike out for a test ride. I have to say, I'm really liking these. Lets me sit with my back straight. Can't wait till I can try a longer ride.
put on jims 2 inch spacers last year on my 2012 fat bob with no change to any cables. they bring the bars up and back just right for me... will not go back to stock..
Put 1" spacers on my new 2014 Fat Bob. Ordered the 1" based on Jim's site saying that the clutch cable in later models is too short to accommodate the larger spacers. I'm going to order the larger ones from Jim and give those a try. The 1" fit and look OEM. Really nice parts. I think my lower back would appreciate the additional inch if I can make them work.
