Is this the same Craftsman jack that can be modified to fit the Dynas? I have the Harborfreight yellow jack and did the modification and it works fine.n There are several threads here showing how to do the mod.
I've got an original HD lift (red one, with two 1.50" wide lift braces that are 14" apart), I bought when I had my 96 softail.
To make it work I purchased the Dyna adapter kit and it works fine. The kit comes with 4 pieces (supports) that temporarly clip on to the frame in the appropriate location to protect the pan and level the lift points.
Other than doing a few practice runs to figure the best placement area..and best technique for a one person lift, it works great.
$25 well spent if you ask me

I've got the Craftsman Professional yellow jack and it works fine on an FXDX using the adapters. I've had 950lb full dressers on the yellow jack, and it's quite solid. The aluminum does flex, allowing the bike to rock a bit (the front and back, not side to side), which at first feels unstable, but that's deceptive. It's actually very stable, and I've sat on bikes with them strapped to the lift without issue.

Yeah my black widow scissor jack I bought from e-bay worked great on my Sportster, but not quite as good on the SG. Its hard to find a good balance point and still maintain stability.
some on this forum attest to the yellow craftsman jack being used on a dyna without the adaptors, and some say the adaptors are necessary. Will I need the adaptors if I buy the yellow jack for a 2009 Dyna Superglide ?

If the lifting arms are as narrow as the ones on the red jack you will
