Never needed a reverse. Level ground, pull in or back in. Up hill I pull in, down hill I back in. Gravity is a wonderfull thing to use if you let it work with you.
Saw a motor officer one day on his EG go forward bump the curb, then that gave him enough momentum to walk the bike backwards with ease.
I just see it as useless as one of those spyder things. it negates owning a bike. and this is a forum, a place for questions and opinions
Read again the original post. The OP was asking for opinions specifically about the Reverse, its installation etc., not for smart *** responses that don't help the guy solve his problem.
I posted earlier in the thread ( #5 ) ... Who knows why the OP is curious ... maybe he's encumbered with a physical problem ... maybe he's short legged and it's difficult to back up or maybe he just want's to show off in certain situations .... Tough crowd today!
Larry, thanks for the reply.
Will be going to a bike show in San Mateo, CA. Will see if there is a dealer there. Will also be at Stergis this year and will check it out.
Would certainly make life a little easier especially parking in Mountains.
Thanks,
Roger
If my Street Bob came with reverse I would have used it many times. I think if it was within rea$on I would do it. I hate back peddling and 600 pounds is heavy. I see ads for them but do not know of anyone who has them...I'll ask a couple of mechanics but will probably get the same responses as on here.
