to be fair I could have really used it a couple of times.
Once I went downhill a small road, very narrow, that turned into gravel, still narrow and no chance to reverse direction, i had to keep going until I found a spot to reverse but as I couldn't put the bike perpendicular to the road to initiate reverse, it involved a lot of sweating and plenty of swearing to finally reverse it.
another time out of a garage downhill at the gate barrier the photocell failed to recognize me passing and the barrier didn't open, I was just one foot from the barrier and could't reverse or park it. Likely a cage pulled up close to me triggering the photocell and the barrier opened.
you might get away with a Dyna, but on a Touring, unless you have your OL on your back, it's going to be tough without reverse gear (for the use i do).
only problem I can ...see if you go in reverse too fast your feet can get caught up and over you go.. trike yea on a bike get off and push it, im five foot and don't have a problem reverseing and ive got a bad knee
My buddies been looking for one for his heritage. Lost his right leg below the knee and has a cheap *** prostetic. He still rides like a bat out of hell. Just moving it around tight spots is a problem.
Seems to be about the same as needing the ol' lady to push the bike out of the parking spot.
Oh Yeah! And she looks good doing it too! ;-) Only had that happen once, but it was on dirt/gravel, and the slight downgrade you didnt notice until you tried to push against it to back up. Doh!
Found this site for you...doesnt look hard to do, but the kit is anywhere from 1000-1300: http://www.aim-tamachi.com/pages.php?pageid=25. Take into consideration whether your pipe configuration will allow for the extra 1" or so....my V&H bigshots run right next to the trans cover...so wouldnt work for me.

Got to admit, would have been handy a couple of times, but don't know if I'd use it enough to buy it.......or might get dependent on it and get myself in trouble ha ha.
