So I am more than just a little late doing this...... but anyway....here are the pics I said I would get on here a couple months back. Just had it up the other day before the snow, remembered I was supposed to do this.

Ive got an OTC stinger Motorcycle jack and love it. great safety latch, very stable, comes with straps and can easily hold and move a bike while its on it.

Also, bought a set of HD dyna frame adapters. Those things are life savers trying to get my Fatbob in the air.

That looks exactly like the Craftsman just painted blue.

So by this logic? You'd have to spend over $1k+ for a jack to lift your $30K-$40K car or truck???

I use a Craftsman jack to lift my $40K 2013 Tundra CrewMax.

I understand you're trying to justify spending $400 for something that only goes up and down.

It's like going to a high end salon to get a $100 haircut, when Supercuts would do the exact same for a fraction of the price.
Different strokes I guess? Won't be losing any sleep over it any time soon. Loving my $70 Craftsman jack, with the $10 mod!
Just means I can get more over priced Harley crap sooner!

It looks like the rear part of the jack is where the oil pan protector is? You might wanna check and make sure that your bike isn't sitting on the oil pan.

I just had it up to clean the wheels and get the water spots off after washing it. I didn't really pay too much attention to where it was sitting that day. Also want to add that it does have the straps to tie it down to the jack too but they are "elsewhere" for lack of a better term.

Will the MOD work for the harbor freight jack?

The reason for the jack mod is to avoid lifting the bike on the oil pan protection bar. Since your jack looks like it might be made by the same manufacture as the Craftsman jack the mod should work just fine on your jack.

The rear lifting pad should sit just behind the rubber pad that stops the kick stand on the frame.

The Harley lift block are designed to support key points to avoid the bike resting on the oil pan.

I noticed that also and was going to comment. OP, you should check to see if everything is still ok and do the "Sears Red Jack Mod" as soon as possible.

If it's this one: ( http://www.harborfreight.com/1500-lb...ift-60636.html ), no.
