Why anyone would buy a $12,000 - $15,000 bike and then skimp out on a POS $84.00 lawnmower jack is beyond me.........

Because it does the job. Just like the $400 jack.

So, the Kobalt jack works with the Super Glide with no modifications? I'm going to pick up a jack this winter and that one looks pretty solid at a really good price - especially if it works without any modification needed.

It works perfectly with mine. No mods at all. One man operation. I can get pics of my bike up on it when I get home, I am out on the road right now.

Just so you understand...the model of Dyna doesn't matter. From 2006 to Present, they ALL have the same frame. All of them. Only difference is the tail section. That's the part that supports your rear fender.

It has no bearing on lifting a bike.

Furthermore, you don't NEED to modify any jack but you will need to use some sort of adapter to handle the irregular Dyna frame. Not a lot of folks are fond of the Lift adapters...they either spend $400+ on a J&S jack or buy the red craftsman jack and modify it like I did.

I cant see spending $300.00 more (+ shipping) on a JS when the red craftsman works just fine. Ive been using it for 3 1/2 years and I have not had one problem with it. I havent tried it on a lawn mower yet

Not sure if this will help you or not. This is a mod I did to my Sears Yellow Jack back when I had a Heritage Softail.

I know you've got a Dyna, but I think you're trying to accomplish the same thing I was with my Softail, a little more clearance for stuff that sticks down below the frame.

Might give you an idea.

The problem with the dyna is you need something wide enough to clear the oil pan. if you look at my signature pic you can see it

I understand, but with the mod I did, the jack "pads" contact the frame rails lengthwise from front to back.

They don't go "across" the rails from one to another, so you don't have to worry about being wide enough to clear the pan.

Only thing I'm not sure about though is if it would give you enough height clearance for what you need.

You could always mount some spacers between the jack pads and the extra pads you get with the Yellow jack if you needed more height.

Just throwing ideas out there...

Craftsman Yellow Jack is not going to work in a Dyna frame. At least not the new model like 2013. I already tried and luckily I saw Vic (SC-Longhair) video and returned the yellow for red and did the modification. I was able to take front and rear wheel off my Fat Bob with no problem or concern whatsoever. After you adjust the stabilizer, it is rock solid like J&S jack.
