Default intake kits

I currently have the SE stage 1 breather kit, which performs well, but I'm wanting to change it out to a round kit for looks & so I can use any cover I choose basically. Wanting to go with a round bobber cover of some sort, maybe the optional one available for the FXDB from HD.

Looking at the Ness Big Sucker & S&S Stealth kits...anyone have any opinions on this or preference?

I see a ton of people running the big suckers.
It seems hard to find the correct part #s...one site says one & another site has a different part #, so I'm a little confused.
The part # I am looking at is 18-507...this is the chrome backing plate with the red filter. Can someone that has the big sucker confirm that this part # will fit my '12 Dyna?

Hey sharkman, check into the DK customs A/C's because they vent to the outside, not bacl into your intake.

I tell you what, all the filters are the same, just the way they look, serve the same purpose. I pick big sucker 1 just because of the look and it allows air to flow that's all lol.
First choose the look and go from there.
Here is one that fits your 12.

If I remeber right, the two different model numbers for the big suckers are that one you use for the stock cover and one you use for the round aftermarket cover. I believe the 18-507 is for use with the stock cover.

Is anyone using the DK customs A/C? I am wondering if the bolt breathers leak oil and how often they have to be cleaned out since the screen area is so small. I like the concept, just wondering how they work.

I was kinda wondering that too. I have the big sucker and it's never leaked so I ain't messing with it. Some here have said they have got misting with th DK breathers but that was only when running it hard.

what part # do you have Rooti?
I want to be able to use an aftermarket cover, or whatever I choose. I really don't see the difference in the filters. This is all for looks, already have my breather opened up obviously, just wanting to change the look.

According to Amazon, part #18-507 says it will accept all '93 & up OEM round or oval covers. I'm assuming it would accept any round cover as well..
I can get it for $117.73 & that's with the chrome backing plate.

I have been using big sucker 1 my past 2 harleys, the only reason it has blowby from BS1 is excessive oil. I lower the oil level to the middle of the dip stick, no matter how hard I ride, no blowby or oil dripping. Every oil change with filter, 2.6qts dead on.
