30t conversion mess up my gear indicator?

Default 30t conversion mess up my gear indicator?
I like the idea of lowering the gearing in my 11 Wg. Maybe use 3rd gear around town and maybe even 6th gear on the interstate under 80mph. I upgraded my Speedo to the Hd speedo/tach/fuel gage and gear indicator. I'm assuming the only way it knows what gear I'm in is by the rpm and vss sencer. Rpm x mph = this gear. Has anyone been thru this ?

When I did my 30t all is fine, but when I did my rear pulley I had to calibrate the speed since it was off by like 10mph, if I remember correctly.

Calibration was very easy with the dakota digital speedo I have, but it could have also been done through my Thundermax tuner as well.

It works fine here, learn it once and done. However the speedo needs to be re calibrated.
Read the manual, didn't you?

By doing front and rear pulles just gears the bike down just that much more ?

Adjusted my speedo using my Power Vision and a hand held GPS to verify - spot on, about a 6% change.

Yes sr. that's the bitch part if the install! That nut is like "welded." Make sure you have an impact gun capable of 500 lbs+ of torque.
