Default Seat Security

Leaving our bikes parked at major events such as Daytona and others I am sure others NEVER like to have it out of sight and there really is nothing we can do if a thief wants to F with it or help themselves. After investing last year on a Mustang WVS w/bkrest I tried to find a lock for it to no avail. We put our trust 1st into honest people and then into a 10 cent seat screw. Any ideas? And no I don't want to carry it with me....

I use a stainless steel Torx security screw (1/4-20x3/4) with the appropriate torx wrench. Works really well and gives you some 'peace of mind.'

It is a great idea and still keeps the honest ones away, but a pair of pliers will take care of that in quick fashion.

The Corbin's have a lock built in. Another key to carry on the down side.

IT just so happens that my seat cannot be removed without first removing the backrest/rack. I just added the lock to the backrest and it secures the seat too:

How`s a pair of pliers gonna` do anything to that screw? On the other hand, a thief would probably use some kind of hydraulic device to clip the tab holding the seat. So, bottom line, a thief will get to it if he really wants to.
