New STREET BOB wants new exhaust...what else do I need?
Exhaust alone is only one factor to consider, most new HD owners like to also swap a/c (breather, intake, whatever you want to call it), add a tuner and possibly swap cams. There are lots of preferences, combinations, opinions, etc. out there so do a little research and decide which upgrades fit your budget/liking.

Also, quite a few members (here and other forums) contact Fuel Moto for upgrade assistance...they have lots of options/recommendations so might want to call and pick their brain a bit: http://www.fuelmotousa.com/
Good luck & enjoy that new ride!!!

A couple of things to consider:
If you have ABS, forget about ever running passenger pegs. Although V&H ships with a spacer to raise the drive side peg, it will hit the ABS module mount.
The black ceramic finish is a scratch magnet...I've quit trying to touch them up and just keep the finish treated with .
You get great ground clearance with it. Your pegs will scrape long before the pipe, but if you ever bottom out over a really hard bump, the top may hit your lower shock bolt. I'm pretty sure that's what cracked my heat shield recently.
I'm not unhappy with it...the sound is awesome without being obnoxious at low rpm, but will bark loudly at WOT. If starting over, I wouldn't buy it again though...like I said, PITA.
As for what you'll need, it comes with gaskets, so you don't need anything other than tools to install it. Not required, but you'll get more out of it by adding a tuner/fuel mgmt device, especially if you plan to add a high flow AC later. I had decel popping pretty bad at first, but was able to tune most of it out. I have a Power Vision and can't say enough good things about it. Customer support is outstanding from Dynojet and you'll gain tons of control over your ECM for more than just your AFR.

I dicovered after buying my V&H pipe from another vendor, and then my intake and tuner (PC V) from them, that they have great combo prices...could have saved $75 to $100 going through them on a combo deal. Also, as you navigate this site you'll see their name come up often, they have great customer service.
All of these things are pretty straight forward and easy to install even for a novice mechanic. Most come with pretty detailed instruction and there are a ton of instruction videos once you start searching. If you're like most you'll take great pride in doing it yourself... and in the process get to know your bike a lot better!
