Everything that needed fixed on the 06 year, still needed fixed on the 07 and later models as well. So dont be discouraged. Many will disagree with me on this opinion, but its my opinion regardless.

I measured my H-D locking tool in case anyone wants the measurements. It's 3/8" thick, 1" wide, and 7-1/8" long with rounded ends.

Just measure the distance and find something that is strong enought to hold. I used a 2x2 as well.
