I am in the Fort Worth area - a couple of places would be AMS("High-Torque Pork") and GMR Performance. There are a ton of other places you could ship your cylinders to, Hillside in NY and Vee Twin Racing are Forum Sponsors who have done a lot of Forum members bikes.

Got my Stage 3 heads done by Kirby at Vee Twin Preformance and decided to buy a brand new top end big bore S&S 106" kit, instead of boring my stock cylinders out.

If you have someone local (not sure how far GMR is from you) that you can drive the cylinders over then I thinks it's worth reboring, but by the time you ship your out then pay to ship them back and cost of labor it's worth looking into getting a new kit. That was my deciding factor plus the extra meat on the cylinder walls from not boring the stockers out.

ALANSUMMRS I've decided to get my crank shipped to Darkhorse for proper work. If I'm going to do it I want it done right!

If your going into the bottom end anyway to get the crank done, you might as well get the cases bored and go big, ie. 117" - 124". I didnt have my crank done when I did my motor, but if I had to go in I would definitely go as big as possible with still maintaining reliability. You're going to end up there anyway, might as well do it now, lol.

Personally I don't agree. When you go that big you have to upgrade your fuel delivery and clutch and all the added horses in a stock primary arnt good. If your a power freak then yes. Might as well go bigger. Im happy with my 107" with no head work. To each his own. A 105,106,107 with crank work is about as reliable as it gets and costs less up front.

I agree when money is no object. Price out a nice stroker setup.

Not sure how you ride, but you can f*%K up a crank even with a stock motor riding hard, so be cautious on your bottom end, especially when you have big *** horsepower like you do. My crank is off 5-6 thousands and started making some noticable marks on the brass bushing on the oil pump. My motor probably would have been smoked 2 seasons MAX! You might not ride hard, but then again why do all that HP work and drive it like a granny. You know you are going to crack it wide open here and there..........

Just saying better be cautious, so that's why I want to make my 106" as bullet proof as possible from foundation, up.

If you have a 96 its a lot easier/ cheaper to go to 107 than larger. I wouldn't touch the stock crank if you're only going 107. Should be good for 125hp and more. If you have crank issues -- then you have an excuse to go bigger. Makes no sense to split the cases for a 107.
