Sounds like you've been vindicated...that's good news.
I'm not sure why you wouldn't want a record of it though. Resale? If it was mine, I'd want every bit of it documented in case something else comes up later.
Cool paint scheme, BTW. I haven't seen that one before.
Thanks for the compliment, I fricken love the paint scheme. Its a pearlescent white on there. It's not the Moroccan gold pearl you get from HD customization. Initially I was going to go black denim, but there are so many fricken black bikes around that I changed my mind at the last minute.
I don't want to swap it for a new one because the close I can get from the factory is Moroccan gold. I was assured I wouldn't see another bike like it around.
I'm going to keep it and Ill post my customization when I get on it.
The people at paradise Harley we're extremely awesome about it in the end, over the phone they were skeptical at first, but I would be too.
If they agree to fix all the problems, it's hard to imagine that they would be open to replacing the bike with a new one. Also, your state probably has lemon laws that describe under what circumstances you're eligible for a replacement or refund. One instance of a problem is probably not going to do it, I'd guess.
As far as resale, just document everything, show it all to the buyer and be completely honest with him/her. You'll find someone who loves the bike, accepts your explanation and will give you a price you'll both be comfortable with.
I don't understand why would anybody attempt to start their bike while in gear. The only time my bikes are in gear is if I'm riding them, seems like common sense
Good to hear they are going to fix it for ya.
Probably something simple like they said, clutch plate alignment, neutral switch or lockout relay etc.
Get it fixed and ride it. That's what you bought it for, didn't you? Not to resell?
Leaves a bad taste in your mouth with a new bike, I know. But it's YOUR bike now. Once you get in the wind all will be forgiven.
