Oh I forgot to mention that I have decel popping stock. Perhaps a exhaust leak. So I decided to stay chrome after some photoshopping. Now im trying to decide if the low end torque loss will be apparent with a 2 into 2 as most 2 into 1 really don't appeal to me aesthetically. I talked with a fellow experienced rider and he had the opinion that with my 103ci I wouldn't really notice a loss from stock.
For what its worth, I had a set of those Rinehart Churchills installed on my 2000 Wideglide.
I think they had better response and torque than the propipe I now have on it. They looked great as well.
Glad that you got your issue worked out. Fitting that I just took in my brand new RK to the dealer for also lurching forward during start-ups. Even with the clutch lever pulled the bike just wanted to take off. It was also extremely hard to find neutral while waiting at lights. I chuckled at the tech when he suggested that I do not start the bike in gear as it was evident that the clutch needed some adjustment. After reading some of the comments and the tech's suggestions, I came to the realization that Harley's must be the only bikes that cannot be started in gear. Another thing that I noticed this bike do is that it starts in gear even with the kick stand down which cannot be done in many other current bikes.
Dude that blows. I almost told you to just deal with it because I misread your post but if you pulled in the clutch and the bike jumped out you are only guilty of not being able to hold up your bike and yea maybe they should fix it. On the other hand if you attempted to start the bike in gear without holding the clutch you should probably stick to 4 wheel vehicles.
If you have the bike in gear and you don't pull the clutch lever in the bike will not turn over.
