Just wondering everyones thoughts and opinions on which bike would be a better choice. I kinda have my mind set on a street bob but considering the switchback as it does have more comfort for two. I can afford a newer fxdb with the mods i want or i can pick a used stock switchback for about same price...
Aside from the big differences, wheels, fenders, chrome stuff, look at the Switchback bags and windshield. If you like them the way they are, the choice is easy. If you think you like other bags and windshield, and would spend the money anyway, get the Street Bob. Both are nice. The Street Bob can be just as comfortable two-up as the Switchback given the right seat and attachments.
In other words, the Switchback and Street Bob are very similar in terms of two-up comfort given the accessories. Don't let the two-up comfort force you onto a Switchback just because it already has two-up items installed. Decide if you would plan on using the stock accessories. I hope this makes sense.
I will say, consider the quick-disconnect hardware in your cost assessment. The Switchback already has good, easy to use quick-disconnect hardware.
Thanks all for the replies thus far. Slv, if the street can be as comfy as switchback then i think i gotta go with the street. it just looks and feels right to me. Imo. And is it me or does the switchback resemble the fatboy alot? Stripped down of course

It's you. Fat Boy and Street Bob look nothing alike.
I would go with the Streetbob. Also, I don't think the Switchback looks anything like the Fat Boy. I have heard people say that the Switchback looks like a Road King.
