Question Lowering kit

Curious to know what the ride feels like with a lowering kit. Seen one that lowers 1.75" and guess the bike should look pretty cool.
Will this make my ride a lot more stiff?
Will my tire hit the rear fender more often? I want to pint out the streets in my city/Country are just awful. Gaps, pot holes, pure hard concrete and not evened out.
I had to buy the suspension adjustment tool so bike tire wouldn't hit the fender.
I like a soft and comfy ride, to just travel around. I don't use my dyna as a speed bike.
Pictures are appreciated as they can also help me decide. I would like to lower the back of the bike as I'm 6.5 and feel big for my bike

Not sure about the dyna frame, but when I did it to my RK frame a year or so back it make it ride rough like a hardtail. With that said, I'd avoid doing so on a smaller frame.

personally i would do the 11 progressives (set soft (depending on wifes size) 2" in progressive up front, and have her seat cut by mean city cycles.... they do a great job and really does well

Now I know more about my bike and really want to consider the lowering mod. Has anyone used DK lowering kits (1" or 1.75")?
Right know with my stock shock, my tire doesn't touch enything electrical or brake lines when I bottom out. Lower or higher settings don't seem to make any difference on the touching distance, only how easily I bottom out. Ride 1 up in the middle setting and 2 up in the highest "stiffer" setting.
Does anyone know if lowering will make my bike touch the cables under the fender with the 1" kit? Will it happen with the 1.75"?
From what I understand, I can use which ever setting I want to make my bike feel comfortable but if the tire will touch the fender I can't lower the bike.
Has anyone been curious enogh to tie down the rear end to see how much distance is left when you bottom out stock and after the mod?
Thanks for the feedback. Hope to deside this week.

DK: obviously a well developed answer is greatly appreciated. I wouldn't like to guess or just take a chance. I assume testing and some thought was put into making the lowering kits . Appreciate some of that to avoid damage on my bike. Thanks as well.

Guess what I wrote was a bit confusing as no one answered.

Simple question. If I lower the bike 1" will my tire touch the cables under the fender when the suspension bottoms out?

With my stock suspension it doesn't touch anything when it bottoms out.

Well, I went ahead and bought a 1" lowering kit on Amazon. DK kit. Bike looked real nice, felt nice, a bit stiffer but not uncomfortable.

Bad news though, some how my bike which has stock suspension lowered 1" with this kit, ended up with a problem. My rear caliper somehow bumped my rear fender while I took the bike for a weekend ride. Don't know how this happened, but it did. I had put weight on my bike before I took it out to bottom it out with it being fine. I had about 3/4" space between my tire and stop light cables when completely weighed down but it also touched.

Just my observations people who might be interested in this mod. Had to remove it. Back to stock height
