Default Anyone ever used these lowering blocks?

Just curious if anyone used these before and if you have any feedback on them. Thinking of putting them on my 10 WG b/c I want to lower the rear end just a little so the fender hugs the tire a little more. THanks for an info

No but I have been looking at them also along with these that are $10 cheaper. I like to hear feedback also.

I have the 1.75" they angle the shocks to a look that I like .. but mine caused
the bike to bottom out and damage the rear fender.the rear brake bleeder nut hits the bottom of the fender...I had to fix the problem by grinding a little piece out of the fender

My sig pic shows the bike with those 1 inch Tamarack lowering blocks. They seem like a good part. I needed 4 extra spacers (washers) and 2 longer bolts for the lower shock mount to get my larger progressives to have enough clearence. But other than that they are just machined parts. I did have to turn up the shock stiffness to keep from bottoming out with the wife on back.

what's involved in the install for these? anything special to keep in mind? been thinking about lowering the rear of my 10 WG about an inch, also.

i've swapped springs and dampers on cars before, is it a similar process when it comes to compressing the springs? or is it just a simple unbolt the bottom and attach these blocks?

I put them on my bike last fall, didn't get much riding time with them on before winter hit so I really can't give and good or bad feedback. Mine are the 1" blocks, they made a nice change in lowering the bike though.

I bought these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

They are a machined part, so no welds or anything to fail. Basically machined, holes drilled and done. These came very complete with all the fasteners and took a total of about 10 minutes to install.

Very easy, just put your bike on the lift, take out both bottom bolts of the shocks, install blocks, install shocks into blocks, lower bike back down, torque and done.
