Default New brake pads

I am putting Harley Brembos front and rear on my FXDC (using VROD lowers for dual front). I am replacing the pads and wanted some opinions on good brake pads. So far I am looking at EBC HH sintered pads or Lyndall Z+. Any comments or recommendations welcome. The EBC are about half the cost of the Lyndall.

Thanks,

Jerry

What about Brembo pads? Or DP sintered maybe.

I've run the EBC HH sintered pads for years on all my bikes. I've been happy with them. I can't really make comparisons to anything but stock, though.

Good luck and tell us how it works out.

I've used both, and both have a good feel, and excellent stopping. My 883 had stock pads, performance what I'd call very inadequate, and EBCs changed it to very good. Don't know what pads were on my 1200, were really thin anyway, put Lyndall Zs on it and has similar feel and performance to the EBCs, hard to say if one is better. Putting Lyndall Golds on my Glide this winter, hope they feel smoother than the grabby pads on it now (pull harder and harder without much increase in braking, and then it grabs hard all at once - and might be more than just pads). I pick pad material for cold stop power - will grab hard in a panic stop. Some pad material gives max braking when they're hot, best for racing and canyon carvers, not my riding style. Harley and some sintered pads are "hot" pads from what I've read about them. Lyndall Zs are carbon/kevlar, supposed to be good "cold" pads and still have good hot performance.
