Looking for tips to start customizing my 2014 Super Glide

I know your pain with factory cruiser bars.... they DEFINITELY suck. I had a 2007 Fatboy with the factory low style cruiser bars attached and i HATED them. I then put 16" apes on it. They were nice for about 6 months, decided they were too tall for comfort on the freeway which is where most of my riding was.
Traded in Fat Boy for Fat Bob and they came with 5" drag bars.... again had to spend some coin to get the bar height right. Went with 14" wild 1 outlawz in black this time, narrower than normal apes, a smidge lower than last time too.
Great bars but they are pricey. If I could go back and do over, Id probably get 12" outlawz for extra comfort factor. but 14" is a good size for me and gives "just" enough old school ape look when Im on it and doesnt turn me into a parachute on the freeway.
Your height will depend on how tall you should comfortably go with your bars, but and inch or two above or below your should will provide most comfort and control.
Forward controls are easy to convert with a factory mid bike. linkages and forward controls will be needed but you wont have to open your primary cases.
Check the classifieds here for blacked out parts. some guys love chrome, some guys love blacked out stuff. Ya never know whats out there. Trading is a good way to get what you want too. Harley parts for harley parts of course.
*EDIT*
Looks like your rear fender struts are just a chrome cover. you can remove them for a Street Bob look. Should be able to re attach the turn signals no problem. easy, cost effective black out. =)
