Yep, sure did! I installed an Energy One performance clutch. Slipped like crazy, which the OEM clutch never did. My bike is a totally stock TC88A. No performance mods. I tried three different primary oils (including Type F ATF as EO suggested). Didn't help at all. I installed a Barnett HD spring to stop the slipping and that helped, but couldn't stand the heavy pull in traffic. So just re-installed the HD clutch and it's fine. I have no regard for Energy One clutches!
When the bike is at a dead stop, engine running, clutch lever pulled in, it is almost impossible to change gears. In order to change gears I have to blip the throttle and then it will go in to a different gear or neutral.
When the bike is moving it shifts in to gear, not easily, but it does.
I've had two different mechanics try and adjust the clutch, both were aware it was a Barnett and were informed the adjustment should be a quarter turn out.
Just yesterday my mechanic replaced the primary cover gasket and when we pulled the clutch it looked as if they were all separating correctly.
Found the problem, it was the clutch assist. Had the dealer take it out and it shifts fine now. So, as Barnett said, don't use a clutch assist with their extra plate clutch kit.
