I ordered upper and lower brake lines, clutch cable, and throttle cable from Powersports Superstore who showed all items in stock back on the 7th and paid for overnight shipping. They shipped them yesterday with an estimated delivery of Thursday. They didn't bother telling me they didn't have them or the shipping would be delayed until I emailed them on the 10th asking where the hell they were, they promised they'd ship then, etc. etc. Long story short, don't do business with those ********.

Now on to more interesting bits. Since I've been waiting and can't ride the bike I started pulling parts off and getting them powder coated and doing some other stuff I'd planned on paying someone else to do like the mirrors. Got all my stuff back from the powder coater today and got everything soldered back up and working. I ordered the idle cable from another place and it already came so I put in on today also. I went with the Magnum Shielding black pearl lines and they're really nice, they look great and the all black hardware looks ****.

I painted the rear fender strut covers and the rear bullets myself with matte black paint, 4 coats with a 2 coats of matte clear over them. Swapped out the support bolts for black ones as well. I also took that gigantic plate holder off and used a nice vertical side mount one from DK Customs.

While waiting for the paint to dry I found out on Saturday that the cables weren't coming so I took these parts to the powder coater and picked them up today. The side covers a textured black finish that matches the primary cover and jugs spot on, the headlight and trim ring are a regular matte black. You can also see the DK Customs 2" tank lift I fitted and the headlight mounting bracket in the shots below. I plastidipped those acorn nuts at the top of the shocks before I left for work tonight, hopefully they'll look good enough or otherwise they'll get coated this week too.

I got a new shift linkage from DK Customs too, and I have a killer shop assistant who likes to sniff and lick everything lol. I love the DK linkages with the proper heim joints on the end that really kills that mushy shifter feeling. I've had them on all my bikes they make them for.

And finally I did the mirrors over the weekend too. I hated the stock turn signals and decided to chop them off. I searched a lot of threads regarding whether you could do this and if they'd work or not. Since the stock ones have a run/turn wiring and the LEDs only have a two wire set up you can use the supplied adapters with the mirrors if you want to retain that function, you just have to internally wire the mirrors to get to the wiring harnesses in the frame. I personally don't like the running function and only wanted indicator function so I capped the run wire, and soldered the turn and ground wires so now they work as indicators but are off otherwise. Really cleans the front of the bike up nicely. I can't wait to get the f'n cables so I can actually get out and ride it a bit this weekend, I'll be sure and post some more finished product pictures as well if anyone is interested (if you read this far through my longwinded *** post lol)

I'm really liking the contrast between your tins and the black. Super Sharp!
