Default limited lean angle

Gentle leaning/cornering resulted in pavement contact of the hose clamp screw that secures the heat shield on the lower muffler on my new FXDC.
Before I eventually grind down the muffler, any tips for increasing cornering clearance on the right side?

Longer shocks. Even a 1/2" will make a big difference. If you like hard cornering it's a good opportunity to upgrade from the poor stock shocks.

No all stock, 50 miles on it.
I am 220 lbs, maybe losing weight will help.

Loosen the clamp and rotate it so the bolt is on the inside between the pipe and frame. Other then that taller shocks.

Could also try cranking your preload all the way up. Not going to be a huge difference, but it is still a difference.

Is that a new style shock for the 14's? Looks more like a Burly with no travel.

Hey Jeff. I grew up a few miles from you in Broken Arrow. I still work for NORDAM in Tulsa, but I'm based at one of out customers in Savannah. How's Cow Town these days?

OP. I put 13" shocks and better front suspension on my bike. Ground clearance is substantially better. My heels will touch when riding hard, but that's it.
