Rim question?
Lookin' around online, I see Harley has a few part #s for black powdercoated rims for laced wheels, but am unsure as to what difference, if any, exists between them.
#41389-10, 16" front & rear rims for '13 Sportster 48 are $123.07 MSRP.
#43017-07, 16" rear rim for '12 Sportster Nightster is $248.93 MSRP.
What's the difference in the rear rims? Both bikes are spec'd for 150/80-16 in back.
Secondly, any reason the Sporty 48 rims wouldn't lace up to my '02 FXD rear hub & the '02 FLST hub I'll be using up front? I assumed that the factory 16x3 hoops were all the same/same, minus the different part numbers for black p/c vs. chrome. Am I on the right track with this?
Looking at rim & powder coating prices, it seems that OEM black rims, laced to OEM hubs with twisted s/s spokes would be a good way to score some sharp rims for short $.
Thanks in advance!
