What about the Vance and Hines Competition Series 2 into 1. Personally I like the Bobcat pipes way better. Anyway, you have a great mod list there, off the top of my head I thought add some new grips for sure. Have fun and post pics as everything comes together.

Had the competition on the FLSTSB I just got rid off. Lost a lot of bottom end torque, and it was VERY hot, even when wrapped. So not going back to that system, eventhough it looked cool and sounded great.

Can't you just give me a rundown of what I need? I would think I just filled in the form at Traxxion and they get me the right springs, and use 5w forkoil like Ricor recommends?

And why Traxxion? Is it a well known brand in suspension over there? I've never heard of it before.
You should at least review the spreadsheet in the second or third link. This will help with the install.

Traxxion Dynamics is a suspension shop that builds a lot of race suspensions. One of the guys is ex-Ohlins. Their springs for the Dyna are single rate, which helps eliminate an initial softness in the brake dive and hard use. If you plan to ride aggressive, the single rate springs from Teaxxion are great. If you prefer a touring/cruising style, you might want progressive rate springs from other manufacturers.

The spring rating is determined by your weight, so look at the spreadsheet or ask the guys at Traxxion. I weight 220lbs and they recommended the 0.95kg/mm spring rate.

Otherwise, with the Ricor Intiminator and 10w oil, you want a spring length of 365mm.

Yeah, I didn't understand the sheets. But ordering springs from Traxxion you fill in bike, weight and ridingstyle, so Im guessing I get what I need if I just fill in an order on their site, or?

And why the 10w oil? Doesn't Ricor recommend 5w for the Intiminator to work at its best?

Hehe.. Yeah money is running short now that most of it ( except the bike ) is paid for.

You guys already have me thinking about new grips and forksprings.

I was gonna install barend turnsignals, which means I have to "open" the end of the grips. Hence, I havent bothered spending $ on new grips. But now that I pretty much decided on the forkmounted turn signals, I might look at some new/better grips aswell...

Traxxion springs are already in the shoppingbasket. Probably gonna read up on springs for a couple of days before I complete the checkout...

Sounds like a good start. Only thing I'm questioning is the 12" shocks. These things are ridiculously low with 12s. All these great suspension parts aren't going to matter much when you're grinding pegs and exhaust in the slightest corners. I personally wouldn't consider anything shorter than 13" if you want it to corner. I understand the issue with the exhaust but I would rather pick another exhaust or find a remedy than completely compromise the handling when you're spending that much money on suspension parts. Check out the v&h/rsd slant exhaust, similar style but imo better looking pipe without the shock clearance issues. Just my thoughts. Good luck and enjoy it.

I'm not sure why, but Ricor recommended 10w for my setup. The same for several guys in the thread about this mod. If you put Intiminators in your Ricor shopping cart, 10w is the only oil option.

I did consider the Slant, but ended up with the D&D. I'm sure I can work around the clearance-issue if I later decide to go taller.

The reason for the 12s was the Motorcyclemetal holliday offer ( $480 ). I'm sure it'll be better than stock shocks, and no matter how hard I try, this thing will never be a sportbike.

If I decide to go taller after a season or two, I'll probably go all in for some 13"-14" JRI/Řhlins piggyback-shocks...

PS! If any of you guys are using photoshop, I'd love to see a picture of the 2014 FXDF with longer shocks. I actually think it might look cool with the new fender...
