I would recommend separating the engine/trans

hang the trans from the backbone

one man can easily extract the complete engine

have a place handy to set it down.

When I pulled my motor from the frame, I took off the primary. Unbolt everything, leaned the bike over on its side, then lifted the frame. I use the same technique for reassembly. Its much easier to maneuver the frame than the motor.

I had a chance to work on my bike for a few hours today. I pushed up all the slack in the rear of the frame and pulled the slack through the front opening. I was able to access and unplug the front turn signal harness, and the headlight, but the handlebar switch connections were nowhere in sight. Are the connectors for the handlebar switches up inside the frame as well, because I cant see them and i was able to look into the frame about 8 inches and all I could see was wiring?

They should be in the frame backbone.
