I am just wondering what is the school of thought on the Willie G skulls? . . . . So as this is my first HD I am curious how much flack I can expect from more seasoned "motorcycle enthusiasts".
Thanks
I live by "it's none of my business what other people think of me" (or my bike for that matter), nor do I care. I ride ONLY for me and have my bike customized ONLY for me. Enjoy your bike the way YOU like it. IF you like the Willie G 'stuff' . . . be happy and screw everyone else, especially the "seasoned enthusiasts" for which I am one
btw . . for something fun (and different), I bought a 1997 Honda ACE when it came out and stripped it down to a mean *** bobber. That thing has 40,000 miles with NO issues what so ever outside of tires and brakes. STILL goin strong and looks cool as ****. BUT, the best part of owning it was watching the "seasoned enthusiast" of the Harley variety treat me like **** when I was on it, with their holier than thou attitudes. Not all of course, but many / most. These were same people when I was on one of my Harleys treated me entirely different! It was hilarious to me AND very childish! So yea, screw "seasoned enthusiasts" and be happy with your ride, however YOU like it!

Have at it, maybe Ill start a new trend!! Its a real easy mod, just sand down the cover with either a real fine sand paper (1500+) or a fine steel wool. Then smooth that down with a scotch brite pad, clean with alcohol, and spray. I personally like Rustoleum flat black engine paint. Ive used it on a couple diff. projects. Its doesnt fade or chip and is heat resistant to over 1300 degrees I believe. Ill try to get some pics up once I get it done. Got a few projects already in the works that I need to wrap up before I forget how to put em back together!
Nice, thanks man, always love a hi impact visual, low impact budget mod.
HERE we go again don't mean to be offensive, but car/bike choice and how/what you got on it has not got anything to do with any one else. Are you trying too be a 1% outlaw S O A,, I personally don't give a **** what any one thinks how my bike looks I hate ape hangers and bikini fairings soa want a bees but I still look and respect their taste, **** some guys ladies are ugly in my eyes,,but again we are all different,, some say mines too short 5 foot and 43 kilo she need fattening up..
BUT back too your bike sell very quick and buy a pink bike then with pegs and carboard attached you can get that real motorcycle noise ( sorry im takeing the ****) just be happy you've got a nice ride
I guess that by asking for opinions i should have known that i would get a number of responses like this. But like they say opininionms are like a** h*les, every body has one and most of them stink.
As someone that knows many "1%ers" who both watch and enjoy SOA, because its entertainment, and only that.
So lets follow your school of thought and assume that your ride must have a croc leather seat and the slogan "thats not a knife" across the tank.
its guys like you that put the bike hobby back to the dark ages. I believe the more people on bike the better for everyone that rides...insurance will go down, awareness will go up and the vast amount of peoples opininons will maybe be morte favourable when a bike goes by, be it a grizzled old biker or a clean cut weekend rider.

A man who's comfortable in his own skin. Good job. So many people are straight-up offended by the SOA reference. It's just a TV show.
Not to speak for Loopie, but I think he was just trying to say "to each his own", but it came out in the often-misunderstood brashness of Australian Egnlish.
Who cares what others think, it is your bike do with it what makes you happy. Every one has an opinion, but they are not riding it, you are.
You want to keep them, all the power to you, black them out, that would be cool too. It is your canvas, create your own masterpiece.

Nothing custom about "dark custom". It 's off the shelf, cookie cutter, overpriced garbage. Total opinion
