So I just purchased a 2012 FXDF and it was quite done up. I am just wondering what is the school of thought on the Willie G skulls? I think it has almost every one you can get on this bike. If i was buying a stock bike I would not have put them on(not a huge chrome fan) but the price of the bike and the amount of extras on it made it a deal that I could not pass up. So as this is my first HD I am curious how much flack I can expect from more seasoned "motorcycle enthusiasts".
I love the look of the FATBOB and might start blacking it out as I can afford it but for now its still a nice looking bike.
Thanks
I don't know how many people will say anything, but you already seem to know what they'll be thinking.
Congrats on a great bike and a good deal. As Robbie says, replace them one at a time, but keep them until you can sell them as a kit on Ebay. There are a lot of people who actually want this stuff.

You'll get more money piecing them out. I like 1 or 2 of different pieces but, not overkill. I have a skull head horn cover that I like and the skull speaker grills but, nothing more. I think you can go overboard on any one piece but, everybody has there own thing. Personally, I don't care for the live to ride, ride to live eagles but, to each there own.
Personally, I like the Willie G collection....on certain bikes & not overdone.
I have 4 pieces on my FXDC...derby cover, timing cover, air cleaner cover, and an aftermarket horn cover that goes with the Willie G theme. It goes well with MY bike, but not every bike. I think it makes it stand out.
My bike is a mix of different styles, as I want mine to be unique. For example, my axle nut covers are from the HD MOCO collection, and my shifter peg and brake pedal are from the silencer collection.
Guess my bike is mix n' match when it comes to aesthetic details...makes it unique. I installed this stuff this winter & don't even have a pic of it all on my bike yet.
If you like them, keep them. Don't worry about peoples opinions, after owning a bike for 3 years. & riding almost every day, I've found the people who scoff at stuff are usually the last people you should even bother to acknowledge. It's your bike, do as you will.
