I did some searching but came up short.
Can the fork lock on a 2012 FXDF be adjusted?
Mine does not go into the locking hole.
Does every one use this feature, it seems like a good thing to me but as I just got this bike it is something I have only recently come accross, once the weather smartens up I will be taking it in and getting the dealer to look at but just wondering if its a fix I could do.
Thx
yes that is an easy fix. Just carefully peel the lock/unlock adhesive decal off so you can re-apply it later. Under that you will see a couple of d-shaped holes. these come loose sometimes or perhaps you or someone else turned the fork lock at the wrong moment. Stick one prong of a long nose plier into each hole and loosen a bit then turn your lock back where it belongs and tighten the mechanism and reapply your decal. I may not remember the process exactly but It's all in the manual dude!
OK thanks, I looked in the manual but must have missed that. I will give that a shot when i get home. Man I wish spring would get here...-37 when i went to work....
My 08 does the same thing. All that's needed for mine is a jiggle on the bars as I turn the key in the lock.
his is not hard to get in it has rotated in place

That likely happened when the lock was engaged while the fork wasn't in the right position. then it's kind on stuck so we pull the handlebars and all is good until we need to use the fork lock again.
