Default New derby cover. Which gasket??

So I just got a new derby cover in house... The guys who made it powder coated the inside aswell, so my first thought was that I have to use one of those "frisbee-gaskets" which covers the whole thing.

After a few searches I found the number of the frisbee-gaskets "25416-99c".

I have a few gaskets out in the shed, so I went out to have a look. Correct partnumber, but not the same gasket. So my question is. Do I need a frisbee-type gasket because of the powdercoating, or will I be fine with the oil splashing against the powdercoated inside of the cover?

Good question, please ask powder coat Joe.
I have seen Bagger and Sportster derby covers with o-rings.
OT what exhaust? V+H competition?

Yeah. I'm not using o-rings on this. Using the 25416-99c, but seems like there's two different gaskets with the same partnumber ( the one in the picture and one "frisbee" ).

The exhaust in the signature? Yes Competition series. Traded in that bike for a FXDF....

Your Dyna model doesn't use o-ring of course. I don't know why they powder coat the inside. Get a frisbee gasket then, it costs less then $10, no headache!

powder no the inside of that will not impact anything, even texture, it uses a paper gasket, any dyna wiht a 5 bolt derby will work just not the oring style. you will be fine that powder is so thin it will not impact anything

I'm sure it doesn't cost $10 here in Norway. Cheapest one on ebay is $30 including shipping. Still not alot of money, but since I have two or three of these laying around, I'd rather use them if it's not gonna cause any problems...

Closing in on $55 000 on this new bike, so I'm getting close to my limit hehe...
