2010 FXWDG Quick Detach Sissy Bar fitment problem.
Today, I installed all the proper mounting hardware for the Harley Davidson Quick Detach Sissy bar (http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...senger-upright). I got the turnsignals relocated and the other 2 mounting pieces on each side.
However, when I go to attach the sissy bar, it seems like the contact points are far enough apart. The mechanisms won't sit flush or mount right. Any ideas?
Did you push it as far forward as you could? Looks like it needs to go forward another 1/4 inch. Did you try it with just the side plates, if not try that.

Yes, I even tapped th ends with a rubber mallet to make sure i wasn't just weak.
Going by the photo the lock in the lock position. Unless of course it was done to take the photo.
What I do is pull the locks open so the other side will go in and keep the lock moved to keep it lined up.
I also push on the outside a little until I get it started.
