I know how it feels to be needing it now...be patient, get approved by a local credit union. Put as much as possible down, build up credit score with a lower payment. You definitely do not want to pay 26k in payments that's like buying two complete bikes.
Actually found a great deal for a used one in Texas... Comes out to 230 a mo with zero down for a 2011 SB with 10k miles .. Do u think is a pretty good deal?
Say a person doesn't have perfect credit, so the bank charges them a higher interest rate; what they are doing is raising the monthly hurdles even higher for the buyer to jump.
You'd think this must be somehow connected to rewarding those who have good credit; but wounding those with less than perfect credit does absolutely nothing to help those with good credit.
So what is the purpose, other than to set those who are struggling up for failure. I mean, if you set people up for failure, how is that better than not giving them a loan in first place? If people default, the only way a bank can really recoup money; is if somehow the banks are able to write that off and claim it somehow on their big bank tax schemes. Thus, laying off their tax burdens on regular old tax paying citizens who don't have big-biz schemes and tax lawyers to find loopholes to get them over on paying taxes.
Ah, it seems I have answered my own meandering thinking

How many months?
Check the Kelly Blue Book, KBB. Look at Ebay and see what comparable bikes are selling for. This isn't necessarily what you may have to pay in your neighborhood but it may give you an idea of what some of them are actually selling for.
My credit is not terrible, but below average for sure. I got the bike for $13,400 including setup and such, and $300 down. I probably could have done a better deal, but I didn't know any better.
When I go for my next, I will take my notes from this site with me.
my 14 fxdb came to me @ $13,600 out the door from H-D1 custom. Wrote them a check for the amount and rode off with my middle finger out... they tried to get me to finance it while i was writing the check...lol
check around, they are plenty of Harley's in the sea...just need to fish a little to find that special one

Where r u guys getting all these good deals. Here in Cali I'm getting all 16.5k out the door Is it just that much over priced here or am I just looking at the wrong Dealerhips
Thats Cali for you, born and breed SoCal .. The prices there are sky-high and they are EPA controlled. Head out to Arizona or here in New Mexico for better deals.
Mine cost a little under $14k out the door for the Charcoal Pearl color option and that included tax, tag and they knocked off the set up. My payment is nowhere near that much and I only did 60 months but I did trade my RK in on it so that took off a huge chunk.
Got mine for around 13500 not including tax. Has the security and abs.
Seems like AZ got some deals for brand new!! Heard it'll be hard for me to reg an out of state bike tho if it's under 7500mi ... Guess I need to move out of Cali lol
