Default Wire extension

Going to attempt to extend my wires on my 2009 FXDC and run them through my wild 1 chubbys. Using the namz wiring kit. Anyone here have any tips before I screw something up?

There are some good videos on FixMyHog.com. Two methods are shown. one way is to stagger the cuts, and reattach the ends with connectors still on them. The other method is to cut them all the same length and attach new connectors after getting the harness through the bars (you'll need a crimping tool.) Use a leader to get through the bars, then use it to guide the harness through.

Wait, and some of the experts will chime in. Also, YouTube is your friend,

I used the namz on my 08. Make sure pin connections are tight. (Mine were, some guys solder them) Used shrink tube on each joint and then over the bundle. Also some sheathing to cover that. If I was to do it again, I would cut the original sheathing about 3 in from the switches and slide it down so it extends out the bottom and over the splice connection.
