I don't know. Still can't decide. I think laced is what it needs with black outer rim, chrome spokes. I feel like the all black 13 spoke mag wheel wouldn't look right??? Still not sold on these bars either. Think I'll try a low rise bar with 4" riser and a set of r6c style apes. If I ever buy another Harley it will be one that's already set up exactly as I like it. I thought this would be easier but I just can't get it right.
They're NEVER "just like you want 'em", lol.
Defintely need to black those legs out. Black bars would look good.
I'm polishing my rear mag right now, probably gonna take most of the weekend, it sucks. Doing it all by hand though, probably would be ALOT easier with a small detail sander. It will be worth it in the end ( I guess).
JMO, but I think an all black wheel wouldnt look right, unless you were gonna black most of the rest of the bike out.
I was going to polish the legs this weekend. Maybe I'll black them instead, would be less work. I don't want an all blacked out bike, don't want to buy chrome so there's no winning this one. Post pics after you polish that wheel.
Robbie, on my iphone which is where i usually read and look, it doesn't load the pic of your bike. I logged into the computer and it loads. Your bike looks really good with the black lowers and wheels, i'd be happy if mine turned out looking that good!
Hardlife, your rim looks brand new! I spent some time sanding the lowers and one side of the outer lip of the rim and it still looks like hell. You can still see corrosion. I think I might have no other choice than to paint, chrome or powder them. I don't think I have the patience to sand them down until they are smooth. I spent two hours on this last night and really made no progress on the wheel. The forks are much easier and seem to respond better to the sanding, only spent 10 minutes on them to see if it was going to be hell like the wheel and they started cleaning right up.
Here's a close up of what it looks like after wire brush and sanding and a try with some polish and one of how bad it looks on the other side.
All looking very nice!!
I am thinking my next wheels for my 2003 Heritage will be 80 spoker's!
I am kinda "old" , but Like the look of 80 spoke wheels with Buchannon POLISHED Stainless Steel Spokes and the Wide Whites!
Thanks fer fergivin an "Old Dude" from the Redneck woods!his dreamin!
Ed
Started the lowers and cleaned up the wheel. It still sucks but I might have to just live with it until I can buy another one. I scrubbed it for an hour and there's still dirt coming off. I used s100. Think I need something stronger

Thanks for the compliment! However, make yours like you want it. That's what matters.
New idea not sure which variation. I'm going to either polish the 13 spokes and black the rest out or black the wheel and polish the lip. Did some searching don't think anyone's done this yet.
