I ran V&H competition series 2-1 black--on my previous ride, sounds and looks killer. However, I currently run D&D fatcat 2-1 black on my Dyna FLD and I think it is hands down better sounding. Not too loud at IDLE. BARKS loud *** hell with a handfull of throttle and snarls like no other on decel and when shifting. Get the D&D! You wont regret it.
The V&H big shots have a crossover chamber in the pipe that is supposed to give you some added back pressure, but I doubt it is as much as the two into one system. If it were me I would get the V&H big radius two into one, I think they look the coolest except there might be a problem with the passenger foot peg.
The pipe comes with an adapter for the passenger peg.
Love my D&D Fatcat! I have the Big Boar baffle in mine. Performance gains are outstanding, quality is second to none & love the sound. Even with the loud baffle it's fairly tame at idle...great low rumble. BUT, when you twist the throttle it roars! Cruising down the highway isn't too loud since the exhaust point is behind the rear axle. I think it's just right. I get a lot of compliments on my pipe....both looks & sound.
I highly recommend anything from D&D...great people & products. Since you are looking for a pipe for a Street Bob, consider the Bobcat....great pipe for all the same reasons & it's unique. Buddy of mine has one, and it looks & sounds great, AND he actually gained more power with it than I did with my Fatcat.
My tuner has tested and dyno tuned many different bikes with many different exhaust setups, and he gets the biggest gains in performance with anything D&D.
