To me, nothing beats my WG. Fits me perfect, and runs great. Some day I will own a E glide, but no time soon. As for ST's, they look good, but they are just not my cup of tea.
Yes, This is my first Harley. I crossed over from the metric cruiser world and never looked back. For the most, I got tired of being that guy in the commercials always wanting a Harley but never steppin up.
So, here I was...not even thinking of buying or even riding a Harley after 30 years......but I went with my daughter so they could find some riding gear and my son in law sat down on the most beautiful motorcycle I had ever seen.....a Dyna!
Something bit me then and there.....
A month later I bought mine.....and I haven't stopped smiling yet!!!!
I love my '07 WG. This thing handles so much better than previous WGs I have ridden. The bike fits me really well. Its still a slug compared to my '89 FXRS with a Kendall Johnson built 80 inch (shoulda never sold it!!!) but it is more comfortable and I'm sure more reliable. This is the 3rd dyna I've owned. Had a '02 lowrider and hated it (no ground clearance in corners-go figure). I just sold a '93 lowrider that I liked better than the '02 (it was a second bike to my Buell so the ground clearance wasn't an issue). I put 30,000 miles on a '04 FLHT in 2 yearsand besides the buffeting, I think the WG is just as comfortable. My wide glide does a lot of things well and looks pretty dang cool. I'm very happy with my decision.
