I went with Boss Bags. Extremely well built (these will probably last as long as the bike). They are quick-release and lockable. Also, they fit really close to the strut (I hate the look of bags that sit too far out).

Got mine from the motorcycle superstore for just under seventy bucks. They have locks on the strap fasteners, but they don't work. Each bag can be unzipped from the fender throw over strap for easy removal.
How?! I REALLY like those. And thats in my budget for how much I can spend. I dont see them on the site.
