Look in the bottom of a fork tube when you have the damper rod out, you will see a white plastic bushing in there, all dyna's have it, actually most all tubes do. Most places don't say because they are coaters not bike builders... We are both. DLC still has a very high heat cur they have no idea not does it impact their process. Only assembly. same reason when We tried to powder, wet sand and buff tubes in the past, to make it work, I could not use them. melted inner bushings. I still jave a few sets if tubes we experimented with I Can post pics tomorrow of the nelted *** bushings. They are in there. I get lowers in all the time for tear down/powder next set I get in I can show you.
An yes that is cerakote pictured on those firearms parts
racetech does the the DLC tubes but it aint cheap, they are working on an inverted front end which im going to check out today...hopefully get in on the r&d testing haha
I was looking around and found a post by wideglideride011 where he had his tubes coated with a process called pvd. Does anyone know about this coating and how it compares to dlc?
That was going to be my next question. Hoping that new coating your going to try works out. Been looking for away to black my front end out for a couple years, without having to use the fork gators
